AQUOS R3 Releases – Sharp’s iconic 120Hz Refresh Rate + SD 855

Today, Sharp released its latest model AQUOS R3 in Japan. What’s interesting is that AQUOS R3 is also the world’s first mobile phone with double borders. The borders surrounding the screen looks somewhat ugly but also gives R3 its unique experience.

It is reported that AQUOS R3 uses the water droplets notch design. On the chin, the front fingerprint recognition button is situated. We don’t know why Sharp does not use the rear fingerprint or the screen fingerprint recognition this time.

Despite the design’s singularity, the parameters of this screen are still remarkable. Its size is 6.2 inches and the display material is “5th generation IGZO” LCD panel. The screen refresh rate is Sharp’s iconic 120Hz. Meanwhile, the brightness is twice this time (the specific brightness is unknown). Sharp also said that this screen can display 1 billion colors, support HDR, and save 10% of the battery.
