MediaTek Launches New Helio P65 SoC – Based On 12nm Process

Today, MediaTek officially launched its new MediaTek Helio P65 chipset. It features 12nm process technology, so you can get great gaming performance, and photography experience.

Specifications Of MediaTek Helio P65 Chipset

Performance

The architecture of MediaTek Helio P65 chipset is based on eight core sizes. These include built-in four ARM A75 clocked at 2.0 GHz processor, and another four Arm A55 clocked at 2.0 GHz. Helio P60 chipset is using 12nm FinFET technology, and it also shares a large L3 cache for improved performance.

The P65 builds in VoW (voice on wakeup) capability, optimizing platform size and power use. MediaTek has also separated the audio channels for voice commands and calls from media and games, allowing for respectively better quality.

Advanced Multi-Camera Photography

The MediaTek Helio P65 supports, dual camera setup up to 16+16MP offering flexibility for wide/telephoto with clear-image zoom technology, or other setups. Alternatively, brands can go super-sized and use a single 48MP, 4-cell camera. A new, secure ISP design means facial recognition actions such as smartphone unlocking are ultra-fast, highly accurate and add a new layer of security.

It also includes a depth engine that enables professional-grade Depth of Field (Bokeh) effects. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) technology, which cleverly mitigate warped (‘jello effect’) video when capturing ultra-fast action (up to 240fps) or panning shots.

Faster AI-Performance

Now, AI performance has been improved 2X compared to the previous Helio chipset series and offers up to 30% faster performance such as object recognition (Google Lens), Smart Photo Album, scene detection and segmentation with background removal, and single or dual camera Bokeh shots.

Connectivity and GPS

Now, Helio P65 uses the upgraded inertial navigation engine compensates when indoors, underground or driving through tunnels. The Helio P65 can be placed in any position due to its ability to clearly identify the position.

The Helio P65 supports dual 4G Volte for voice and video call quality, faster connectivity, more reliable coverage, and lower power consumption. Meanwhile, 802.11ac connectivity provides fast Wi-Fi performance, while Bluetooth/Wi-Fi co-existence simplifies product design and assures reliable performance for the user.
