Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 – 7nm process, SM8150 internal code, 5G support

According to the news, the Snapdragon 855 will be the name of the chip released for the market, built-in NPU using a 7nm manufacturing process. The media TechCrunch may have made a mistake in the release time and released the information of the Snapdragon 855 chip in advance.

According to reports, the Snapdragon 855 chip will use three CPU clusters, using four 1.78GHz energy-saving cores and three 2.42GHz high-end cores. One of the four so-called “golden” cores will additionally achieve frequencies up to 2.84 GHz, but Qualcomm has not yet confirmed. The graphics unit used here will be Adreno 640, which of course will bring performance improvements again.
