Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Specs Leaks – Enormous Battery, 6.4-inch Screen

According to a statistical report from Strategy Analytics, the share of Samsung smartphones in the Chinese market dropped below 1% in the fourth quarter of 2017. This is a critical situation for Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ might not be enough to restore the share. That’s why Samsung needs to launch as many flagships earlier this year including Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Furthermore, we already have the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 specs leaked on the internet.

GSMArena, a well-known tech blog, states that some rumors surfaced on Weibo regarding Samsung Galaxy Note 9 specs. According to the leak, the upcoming flagship will be slightly larger than its ancestor which is the Note 8. Galaxy Note 9 will integrate a 6.4-inch display with the same 18:9 aspect ratio. Thus, the full-screen layout will continue as a trend. It’s not clear whether we will see an under-display fingerprint reader or not.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Specs leaks

Apart from the screen size, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 battery capacity will improve drastically as well. It will top up from 3,300mAh (Note 8) to an enormous 3,850 mAh or even 4,000 mAh. The SoC will hopefully remain the same as in Galaxy S9 / S9+ which is Snapdragon 845. Whether there will be another model with Exynos upcoming SoC or not is still in question. The increase in battery life will provide more endurance. However, if the display size is increasing along with resolution, we might not see any major battery difference between both generations at all. Why? Bigger display means more power. Furthermore, the new SD 845 remains on the 10nm process as well. But in case of Exynos SoC, the battery life will be much better.

We will wait for some official announcement on the Galaxy Note 9 as the leaks aren’t that much reliable. Besides, it’s one of the first leaks of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 specs which also minimizes the chances of its authenticity. What do you think?
