Concluding the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 review, the fourth generation of Mi Band series does appear to inherit the same design as of Mi Band 3. Even the wristbands are replaceable. Even though the main chassis dimensions are the same of both generations, Mi Band 4 manages to integrate a larger screen. Moreover, after three generations, Xiaomi finally moves to the colorful AMOLED display with a 2x increase in the resolution. The pixel density of 193 PPI makes the eye quite comfortable and has been pleasing.
It is worth mentioning that this time NFC version apart from the addition of NFC chip also brings additional features such as Xiao AI voice assistant in the Mi Band 4, despite having the same battery capacity.
The Mi Band 4 offers the same long battery life despite the introduction of larger and colorful AMOLED display. The NFC version can run for 15 days while the standard version can run for 20 days. To become a professionally graded wearable, it has introduced the 6 axis motion sensor with 5 ATM waterproof certification. Finally, it also adds the swimming sports mode and now features 6 kinds of sports in total.
Though still having no internal GPS and Xiao AI in Chinese might disappoint us, but the unchanged price tag simply allows us to ignore such downsides.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is more than a screen upgrade. It’s another evolution of the cheap, budget-friendly wearables provided by Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has a price tag of:
- 169 yuan ($25) for non-NFC version
