Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Version Coming This 11.11

On September 11, we finally witnessed the arrival of the second generation of Xiaomi Mi MIX series ‘Xiaomi Mi MIX 2’. Apart from the standard version with the rear ceramic back cover + metal frame, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Version was also introduced with the eye-catching “Unibody All Ceramic”. This exclusive version also comes with 18K gold-plated Rim and is available in Black and white color options.

However, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Version hasn’t started selling even after 2 months of the official debut. This morning, Xiaomi smartphone product marketing director @Zang Zhiyuan forward Lei Jun, Pan Jiu Tang, Kevin King diary message on Weibo by saying:

Moreover, the selling date of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Version is expected to be Double 11 or 11.11.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Version – Design & Specs

According to Xiaomi description, every piece in the unibody all-ceramic chassis have to undergo an extreme temperature at 1400 ℃ for 7 days, 240 tons of two-story equipment stamping molding, a diamond carving of 0.01mm, and 0.01mm repeated carving. Hmm…That is why the full ceramic version is taking too much time because of its complex and time-consuming process.

In addition to the stunning appearance and craftsmanship, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Edition will feature the same high-end configuration like in the standard version. It will integrate a 5.99-inch 1080p Full-screen. The heart of the flagship will be the latest Snapdragon 835 coupled with 8 gigs of RAM and 128GB storage. On the front, we have the 5MP shooter. Meanwhile, there’s a 12-megapixel rear camera (1.25μm, f2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilization) at the rear. The flagship thankfully supports Dual SIM along with 6 modes, 43 frequencies, and 226 Countries bands. The price of this exclusive version is 4699 Yuan ($709).

Indeed, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Ceramic Version will be the most exclusive flagship in China. Let’s hope Xiaomi don’t stop the ceramic version manufacturing after some time like it did with Xiaomi Mi MIX.
