Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 Ranks 3rd in DxOMark Front Camera Ranking: Best Chinese Selfie Phone

DxOMark is famous for the evaluation of rear cameras of the smartphones. However, today, DxOMark released it’s first ever front-camera ranking. The ranking unfolded some great surprises (the selfie featuring flagships weren’t that good). The Chinese flagship known as Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 ranked 3rd in the DxOMark Front Camera ranking. Whereas, Google Pixel 3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 occupied the 1st and 2nd rankings, respectively.

Looking at this, Lei Jun (founder and CEO of Xiaomi Technology) said:

Xiaomi’s mobile camera division has made another contribution. The MIX 3 front camera is the 3rd Best, surpassing other Chinese competitors like Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro

DxOMark official website shows that the Xiaomi MIX 3 front camera photo section score is 83 points, the video part score is 85 points, the total score is 84 points.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro front camera score is 75 points, and the Huawei P20 Pro front camera score is 72 points.

According to DxOMark, the MIX 3 front selfie light and depth-sensing second sensor provide excellent soft-light selfie performance, face exposure, color, detail and so on. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 skin tone rendering is excellent, and in overall DxO front camera analysis, it’s the best.

However, it also has some areas to be improved, such as focus range, dynamic range, denoising ability, etc. Overall, Xiaomi MIX 3 is one of the most considerable models for selfie lovers.
