Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Leaked – Metal Unibody Design + Snapdragon 425

Xiaomi Redmi Note series is one of the most affordable and mid-end series by Xiaomi. But it is rumored that Xiaomi is heading to make a low-end version ending with the alphabet ‘A’. Today, such flagship named ‘Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A’ leaked on SlashLeaks.

According to the exposed image given below, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A features a metal unibody chassis. The design appears to similar to Redmi 4. However, the most noticeable aspect is that there’s no fingerprint reader in Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A. Even the source has been the weight and dimensions as well which are: 150 grams and 153 × 76.2 × 7.59 mm, respectively.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A – Specs & Price

On the front is the 5.5-inch 720p screen and the three traditional touch base LED buttons. The heart of the flagship is Snapdragon 425 Quad-Core SoC running @ 1.4GHz. Moreover, the SoC is accompanied by 2 gigs of RAM and 16GB ROM. Furthermore, Redmi 5A highlights a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front selfie shooter. A 3080mAh battery power the flagship and runs on Android 7.1.1 (MIUI 9).

The phone will release on August 21 for a price of 999 Yuan ($150) according to the rumors. The price appears to be too much for the above-mentioned hardware. Let’s hope Xiaomi will release Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A with better specs and price.
