NIO Phone 2 is launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset

The NIO Phone 2 has hit the shelves, it does not have major changes in the design, while the specs have been upgraded. It comes in various versions such as Performance, Ultimate, and Epedition. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 16GB RAM, a maximum of 1TB device storage, a 6.82-inch OLED quad-curved screen, a 12MP front camera, rear triple cameras, 5020mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging and much more.

The NIO Phone 2 gets its processing power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It has RAM options of 12GB and 16 GB. The phone has storage options of 512GB and 1TB.

Design & Appearance

The NIO Phone 2 features a vibrant 6.82-inch OLED quad-curved screen with a resolution of 3168 x 1440. It is made of Samsung E7 luminous material and supports a 120Hz refresh rate (1-120Hz LTPO), 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. 

The glass version comes with 8.6mm thickness and weighs 209g, the plain leather version is 8.72mm and weighs 214g while the ceramic version has a thickness of 8.45mm and weighs 226g. It supports USB 3.2 Gen 1, IP68 dust and water resistance (2 meters), NFC, infrared remote control, dual speakers, built-in NIO GPT, and is equipped with SkyUI 2.0. The phone comes in various colors and variants

• Performance version available in Moonlight Silver and Space Blue; 
• Ultimate version is available in Nebula Red, Pine Green, and Golden Sand Rice
• EPedition available in nano-microcrystalline ceramic 

Cameras of the NIO Phone 2

The front camera of the NIO Phone 2 is 12MP (Sony IMX688). On the rear side, it has triple cameras for optimal photos and videos. The primary lens is 48MP (LYT-808, OIS), 48MP ultra-wide angle (Sony LYT-600), and 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX890 and OIS).

Battery

The battery capacity of the NIO Phone 2 is 5020mAh which supports 80W fast charging. It also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless reverse charging.

Price & Availability

The NIO Phone 2 has been officially released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. It has various options for users to choose from

• Performance version 12+512GB is priced at 6499 yuan ($896)
• The ultimate version is priced at 6899 yuan ($951)
• EPedition is priced at 7499 yuan ($1034)
