Xiaomi 15 Ultra debuts with Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition Chip

Xiaomi has released another leading device with no price increase to attract more customers. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chipset, up to 16GB RAM, a maximum of 1TB storage, a 6.73-inch OLED equal-depth four-curved screen, a 32MP front camera, quad cameras on the back, a 6000mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging, and more.

For optimal performance, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile chipset. It has a dual-channel stereo ring cold pump and Pengpai T1s/T1 signal enforcement chip. To process data faster, it comes with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 flash memory. Users can choose between 12GB and 16GB RAM. As for device storage, it has options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. 

Display & Appearance

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a vibrant 6.73-inch OLED equal-depth four-curved screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440. For a smoother experience, it supports 1-120Hz LTPO with a 3-segment screen partition refresh. To provide a brighter experience, it has a manual maximum brightness of 800nits, global excitation brightness of 1000nits, and local peak brightness of 3200nits. Users can enjoy a 300Hz touch sampling rate, a 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. 

The phone is 9.65 mm thick and weighs around 226g, whereas the color-matching colors are 9.83mm thick and weigh 229 g. For connectivity, it has WiFi 7 R2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps), NFC, and more. It is IP68 dust and water-resistant, has stereo dual speakers, and all series support Tiantong satellite communication. It is equipped with a Pengpai OS 2.0 system. Users can choose from various color options.

Cameras of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra

On the front side of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, users can take photos from the 32MP (OmniVision OV32B40). At the same time, the phone has quad cameras for optimal pictures and videos. The primary lens is 50MP (Sony LYT-900, 1” sensor size, f/1.63 and OIS). It has other lenses of 50MP ultra-wide angle (Samsung S5KJN5, 1/2.75”, f2.2), 50MP vertical telephoto (Sony IMX858, 1/2.51”, f/1.8, OIS) and 200MP periscope telephoto (Samsung S5KHP9, 1/1.4”, f/2.6, OIS), Users can also enjoy full-focus 8K/4K video recording and upgraded UI. 

Professional Imaging Set

Xiaomi also unveiled a professional imaging set to enhance your camera experience. It has a built-in 2000mAh battery and standard shutter thread and is compatible with Leica shutter accessories. The device is equipped with a 67mm screw filter and is fitted with IP54 dust and water resistance.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by a 6000mAh battery, which supports 90W fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging for a smoother user experience. This is all thanks to the Pengpai P3 fast charging chip and Pengpai G2 battery management chip.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been officially released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. It has various variants for users to choose from

• The 12+256GB version is priced at 6499 yuan ($888)
• The 16+512GB version is priced at 6999 yuan ($956)
• The 16GB+1TB version is priced at 7799 yuan ($1066)
• The 16GB+1TB dual-satellite version is priced at 7999 yuan ($1093)
