Oppo has released a surprise phone, Oppo A2x, at the Mobile Global Partner Conference. It comes with MediaTek Dimensity 6020 mobile chipset, up to 8GB RAM, memory storage options of 128GB or 256GB, 6.56 inch LCD screen, 5000mAh battery, the camera module of the device is yet not confirmed, and much more

Processor & Storage

At the heart of the Oppo A2x lies the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 mobile chipset. It has LPDDR4x memory and UFS 2.2 flash memory. It has RAM options of 6GB and 8 GB. As for device memory storage options, users can choose between 128GB and 256 GB. 

Display & Appearance 

The Oppo A2x features a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a water drop design to nest the front camera. It has a resolution of 720 x 1612 and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen supports a global peak brightness of 720 nits and supports 4096 levels of Dimming. 

Oppo A2x

The device has a diamond anti-fall structure, and an IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating to make the device super durable. It has 300% super volume and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack for a seamless audio experience. The device runs on ColorOS 13.1 and comes in the following colors

  • Feishuang Purple
  • Muguang Gold
  • Starry Night Black

Cameras of the Oppo A2x

The camera module of the device is not yet confirmed, however, there are some rumors circulating. It might have a 13MP back camera and a front camera of 5MP. 

Battery

The battery capacity of the Oppo A2x is 5000mAh, but the charging power is not yet disclosed.

Price & Availability

The Oppo A2x has been officially announced and will be able to buy from October 14. However, the specs and prices of the device are out. 

  • The 6+128GB version is priced at 1,099 yuan ($152)
  • The 8+256GB version is priced at 1,399 yuan ($194)
