Vivo X Fold 3 debuts with 16GB RAM and 1TB Storage

Vivo X Fold 3 is the budget-oriented device in the series, but this doesn’t make it any less of a great performer. The device has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SPU chipset, up to 16GB RAM, and a maximum storage of 1TB for performance. It has an internal AMOLED screen of 8.03 inches, an external AMOLED screen of 6.53 inches, and a carbon fibre hinge to connect the displays. The external screen of the device has a 32 MP front camera, an internal screen also has a 32 MP front camera, triple cameras on the back, a 5500mAh battery that supports 80W fast-changing, and much more.

The Vivo X Fold 3 gets its processing power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SPU mobile processing platform. It has graphite heat dissipation to keep the device cool. The phone has LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 flash memory for faster data transfer rates.

Display & Appearance

The Vivo X Fold 3 has a vibrant internal AMOLED screen with resolution of 2480 x 2200. It is made of Samsung E7 luminescent material and UTG super tough glass for added durability. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate (8T LTPO) and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for a smoother user experience. It supports 4500 nit brightness. 

The device has an external AMOLED screen of 6.53 inches with a resolution of 2748 x 1172. It has armoured glass, BOE Q9+ luminescent material and a local peak brightness of 4500nits. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for a smoother user experience. 

It has an unfolded thickness of 4.65mm, and a folded thickness of 10.2mm and weighs around 219g. The device is made of a fibreglass back cover with a metal middle frame and an IPX4 rating for durability. It supports NFC, WiFi 7, HiFi, an independent mute button, side capacitive fingerprint and runs on the OriginOS 4 system. It comes in two colours for users to choose from

  • Thin Wing Black

Hinge

It has a carbon fibre durable and lightweight hinge that supports 500,000 folding worry-free certifications. It can cover from 60 – 120 degrees. 

Cameras of the Vivo X Fold 3

The external and internal screens of Vivo X Fold 3 have a 32MP front camera (Howell OV32D) with a 1/3.6 inch sensor size. 

On the rear side, it has triple cameras for optimal photos and videos. The primary lens is 50MP (Sony VCA IMX920) with 1/1.49 inch sensor size and OIS. It has other lenses of 50MP ultra-wide angle (Samsung S6KJN1) with 1/2.76 inch sensor size and 50MP portrait telephoto (Sony IMX816) with 1/2.93 inch sensor size.

The Vivo X Fold 3 has been officially released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. It has various options for users to choose from

  • 16GB+1TB is priced at 8999 yuan
