Due to the rising demand for rugged smartphones, AGM has brought their latest and greatest innovation to the market. The AGM G2 Guardian was released at the MWC 2023. It is the industry’s first mobile phone with a thermal imaging function of up to 500 meters. The phone is currently on pre-sale and will be hitting the global market. 

Design & Appearance

The AGM G2 Guardian has a massive 6.58 inches 2408×1080 LCD screen with thick bezels for protection. It has a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother responsive touch and Corning Gorilla for added security.

It has a 25.5mm thickness and 405g of weight. It may seem heavier, but it is perfect for rugged smartphones. Thanks to its chunky size, the phone has retained the legendary 3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, the 3.5W speaker provides surround music. It runs on Android 12 and has WiFi 6E for connectivity.

Processor & Storage

The AGM G2 Guardian comes with the Qualcomm QCM6490 mobile chipset. It is based on a 6nm architecture with a 2.7 GHz Kryo 670 CPU. Moreover, it has the Adreno 643 GPU. As for comparison, it will provide the same performance as Snapdragon 778G

It has 8GB and 12GB RAM, with only 256GB of storage. The device has support for 5G.

Camera

The front side of the AGM G2 Guardian has a 32MP single camera. It has a triple camera configuration on the back, with a 108MP primary lens, 20MP night vision and 2MP macro triple camera.

Battery

One of the device’s selling points is its massive battery of 7000mAh. It has support for 18W fast charging and 10W wireless charging.

Price & Availability

The AGM G2 Guardian is currently at presale in China and will soon hit the global shelves.
