AGM G2 Series Released | New Leading Rugged Smartphone

Rugged smartphones have become a choice for many users, and AGM is back with their new devices, AGM G2 Series (AGM G2, G2 GT, and Pro). The smartphones are durable and have top specs like Qualcomm QCM6490, 8GB to 12GB RAM, a large battery of 7000mAh, an IP69K rating, and much more.

Processor & Storage

The AGM G2 gets its processing power from Qualcomm QCM6490 chipset with 6nm architecture. It has 8 cores (1×2.7 Ghz Cortex-A78. 3 x 2.4Ghz Cortex-A78, and 4 x 1.9Ghz Cortex-A55) for ultimate performance. The GPU is Adreno 643L. It gets faster memory management speed due to LPDDR4X memory. 


The AGM G2 and AGM G2 Pro have memory options of only 8GB. The AGM G2 GT comes in both 8GB and 12GB RAM options. These devices only come in 256GB memory storage with 512GB expandable memory support. 

Display & Appearance

The AGM G2 comes with a sharp 6.58 inches LCD screen. It has a resolution of 2408×1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device is a rugged phone that has the protection of Corning Gorilla 3 protective glass. 

The device has a thickness of 20mm and weighs a heft weight of 405g. It comes with a powerful speaker of 3.5W that can rock any room (volume up to 109dB). Moreover, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired connections. The phone has a fingerprint on the side for added security and runs on an X OS system (Android 12). It has Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6E, and NFC for added connectivity. 

The device is a rugged smartphone with IP68 and IP69K ratings for added durability. Moreover, it has MIL-STD-810H protection standards, so users can use the phone however they want.


The G2 has a 32MP (Sony IMX616)  front camera for all your selfie and video needs. On the back side, it comes with a triple camera configuration. The primary lens is 108MP (Samsung S5KHM2), 20MP infrared night vision, and 2MP macro lens (Geco Micro GC02M1).

Thermal Imaging

The Pro version has an independent thermal imaging module with a resolution of 256×192. It has a thermal refresh rate of 25Hz, thermal sensitivity of 60MK, and a detection range of 50 meters with a temperature measurement range of -20~550°C.

The GT version has a refresh rate of 25Hz, and a thermal sensitivity of 60MK, the same as the Pro version. But has a detection range of 500 meters and a temperature measurement range of -20~550°C.



The device has a massive 7000mAh battery due to being a rugged device. It has a fast charging capability of 18W. Users can charge the phone from 0% to 100% in just 132 minutes.

The AGM G2 series has been launched in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. It has 4 variants for users to choose from.

  • AGM G2 8+256GB is priced at 4499 yuan ($649)
  • AGM G2 Pro 8+256GB is priced at 5499 yuan ($793)
  • AGM G2 GT 8+256GB is priced at 5999 yuan ($866)
  • AGM G2 GT 12+256GB is priced at 6499 yuan ($940)
