Leaked: AirPods Pro 2 To Switch To Type-C Charging Interface

Leak Highlights:

  • AirPods Pro 2 to release with iPhone 14
  • The earbuds will be the first Apple product to shift from Lightning to a Type-C port
  • A new version of the H1 chip will power them
  • Extra features to come with the 2nd generation of AirPods Pro

Apple is expected to release the AirPods Pro 2 alongside the iPhone 14 this fall. One might not just experience improvements in connectivity and sound but as well as see new features.

A recent report claims that the second generation of the AirPods Pro will feature a heart rate monitor, hearing aid functionality, and a USB-C port instead of Apple’s traditional Lightning port.

The statement is also supported by a famous Apple-only leakster ‘AppleLeaksPro’ on Twitter.

Unlike the simple AirPods generations, Apple doesn’t release the AirPods Pro every year. So it makes sense for Apple to bring the USB-C port to the AirPods Pro 2 before the iPhone 15 gets it.

A new version of the H1 chip will power the AirPods Pro 2. It’s not confirmed if Apple will give it a name like H2.

The expected price of the second generation of AirPods 2 Pro is expected to be from $249 to $299. We will see this price increase because of the current situation of increasing inflation.
