Apple iPhone 15 Plus debuts with Color Injected Glass Back

Apple has released a larger and more powerful version of the base model, the iPhone 15 Plus. It comes with a dynamic island, a color-injected glass back for a textured feel, and a slightly rounder back. The phone comes with a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen, Apple A16 bionic chip, up to 512GB memory storage, 6GB RAM, 20 hours of video playback, and much more. It will be available for pre-order from 15 September and deliveries start on September 22.

Display & Appearance

The Apple iPhone 15 Plus comes with Dynamic Island, the pill design was previously limited to just the Pro models. It also has the industry’s first color-injected back glass for a textured feel and also has a rounded back for easier handling. 

It comes with a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED with a resolution of 1290 x 2796. The device supports HDR 10, Dolby Vision, 1000 nits (HBM) and 2000 nits peak brightness.

The device has a thickness of 7.8mm and weighs around 201g. It has ceramic shield glass for durability and has IP68 water and dust resistance. The device has WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC for added connectivity. The device is released in various color options

Processor & Display 

The Apple iPhone 15 Plus comes with A16 bionic chipset, which was released last year with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. It sees a 20 percent less year power consumption and 50 percent more memory bandwidth compared to last year’s iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. It has 6 cores and 5 core GPU, based on 4nm architecture. 

The device has memory options of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. It has 6GB RAM

Cameras of the iPhone 15 Plus

The front camera of the iPhone 15 Plus is 12MP with f1/9 aperture. It has cinematic mode and can shoot 4K and 1080p resolution crispy videos. At the same time, the back side has dual cameras. The primary lens is 48MP (f/1.6, 26mm, and OIS), and 12MP (f/1.9 and 23mm) secondary lens.

Battery

The iPhone 15 Plus can last up to 20 hours of video playback which is sufficient according to the screen size. It supports fast charging that can charge the phone to 50% in just 30 minutes. Moreover, it supports 15W wireless MagSafe and 7.5W Qi wireless charging.

The iPhone 15 Plus can be pre-ordered from September 15 and will be available in stores on September 22. It comes in various variants for a wider user buying option.
