Pros

  • Incredible Performance
  • Budget-Friendly
  • Great mid-spec dual camera with one of the best camera software optimization
  • Practical features like AI charging, AI optimization, and AI scene detection
  • Improved top-notch design from iPhone X
  • Loud Stereo Speakers

Cons

  • No Wireless Charging, Not IP 67/68 certified
  • LCD display
  • Software overloaded with AI and extra apps / a few glitches

Our Verdict

For a much affordable price range (below $500), Asus offers an incredible iPhone X inspired Android flagship with the best performance, great camera, and a well-calibrated display to offer. So what if the UI has some glitches and slightly outdated patches, one also enjoy practical features like AI ringtone, AI charging, an AI scene detection.

If you are tight on a budget and somewhat brand oriented, we recommend staying with Asus Zenfone 5Z. However, you can get OnePlus 6 with a better OLED display by adding $30 extra. Don’t forget, there’s Mi 8 with SD 845 as well for a much affordable price. We said it, and the choice is yours.
