Google Pixel Fold Released | First Ever Foldable by Google

Google has released their first-ever foldable smartphone and officially jumped on the bandwagon. The Google Pixel Fold has been released with an internal screen of 5.8 inches and an external screen of 7.6 inches. It comes with a Tensor G2 mobile chipset with 12GB RAM, memory storage options of 256GB or 512 GB and much more.

Display & Appearance

The Google Pixel Fold has an external OLED screen of 5.8 inches with 2092×1080 resolution. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz with a peak brightness of 1550nit. The screen ratio is 17.4:9. At the same time, the internal OLED screen is 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2209×1840. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz with a peak brightness of 1450nit. The screen ratio for the internal screen is 6:5. It has one of the best screens when it comes to folding phones.

The thickness of the unfolded phone is 5.8mm, and when folded, it has a thickness of 12.1mm. It weighs around 283g, which is decent compared to other smartphones in the category. The fingerprint sensor is on the side of the phone and has IPX8 waterproof rating and three microphones for optimal user experience. It comes in two matching colours.

Processor & Storage

The Google Pixel Fold runs on a Tensor G2 mobile chipset that will help it provide unmatchable processing power. It also has LPDDR5 memory combined with UFS3.1 flash memory. The foldable phone only comes in 12GB RAM but has 256GB and 512GB options for memory storage.

Camera

The Google Pixel Fold has a 9.5MP front camera for the external screen and an 8MP camera for the internal screen. On the rear side, it has a triple camera configuration. The primary lens is 48MP with OIS, a 10.8MP super wide angle and a 10.8 telephoto camera with 5x zoom.

Battery

The Google Pixel Fold has a 4821mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging through a USB Type C 3.2 Gen 2 interface. It has Qi wireless charging as well. The battery size may be smaller as it has two screens, but maybe Google has optimized it to last longer than other phones.

The Google Pixel Fold has been released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. Pre-order to get some exciting gifts with the phone.
