Honor has released the affordable Honor Magic5 with a 6.73-inch screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and a 5100mAh battery. The phone’s specs might be lower, but still, it can provide an excellent experience.

Screen & Display

The display of the Honor Magic5 has a 6.73-inch quad-curved OLED, which is smaller than the Pro version. It has a resolution of 2688×1224 with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has 300Hz touch sampling with support of 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for better touch response. 

HONOR MAGIC5 FRONT

The local peak brightness of 1600nits combined with 1.07 billion colors makes it vibrant and useful for outdoor usage.

Like the Pro version, it has a plain leather variant that weighs 187g and a glass version of 191g weight. It comes with five color options for users.

Processor & Storage

The Honor Magic5 has the industry-leading Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, providing optimal daily performance. To make it even more smooth, it has LPDDR5x memory. The options for RAM are 8GB,12GB, and 16 GB. 

It has UFS4.0 flash memory, with storage options of 256GB and 512GB. The device also comes with an independent security chip.

Camera

The front camera of 12MP supports air gesture controls to take easy selfies. At the same time, it has three cameras on the back. The primary lens is 54MP (1.1/49”), a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP periscope that supports 50x zoom. The Pro version has all three 50MP cameras, unlike the simple version.

Battery

The Honor Magic5 has a 5100mAh battery that supports a 66W fast-charging battery.

Price & Availability 

The Honor5 Magic has officially hit the shelves in China and will soon be coming to other countries. 

  • 8+256GB is priced at 3,999 yuan ($577)
  • 12+256GB is priced at 4,499 yuan ($650)
  • 16+512GB is priced at 4,999 yuan ($720)
