Huawei Mate 20 Series Receives EMUI 10.1 Update in China

Huawei continues to provide regular UI updates to its smartphones. Today, Huawei Mate 20 series featuring Kirin 980 SoC receives the EMUI 10.1 update. To be specific it’s the latest EMUI 10.1.0.160 and supports every phone in the Mate 20 series.

One must note that due to version restrictions, Mate 20 X 4G users need to upgrade to 10.1.0.155 first, and other models of Mate 20 series need to upgrade to 101.0.135 before moving to this version.

Huawei Mate 20 Series EMUI 10.1 Update – What’s new?

With this upgrade, Mate 20 X 4G improves the experience of voice assistants in some scenarios and optimizes system stability.

Meanwhile, Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design:

• The feature ‘Smart Split Screen’ supports more third-party applications
• Optimizes the Wi-Fi connection stability in some scenarios
• Fixes the problem of unusual speaker sound in some scenarios
• Changes the Huawei customer service hotline number to 950800 /950801 (Porsche)
• Merged the Android May 2020 security patch
