Finally, after a long wait, the Huawei P30 series finally gets the EMUI 11 update. Today, Huawei EMUI officially announced that Huawei P30 and P30 Pro officially launched EMUI 11 Beta. Since this is a beta version, one can expect some bugs as well.
In addition to the above two Kirin 980 flagships, there are 14 models that have been included in the EMUI 11 beta update. The devices mentioned below will start the EMUI 11 Beta testing from mid to late December:
At the Huawei Developers Conference in September, Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer business software department, announced when EMUI 11 will be available for as many as 37 models . Moreover, the overall update will exceed 200 million. The upgrade rate will exceed 90%. There is no doubt that this is the largest upgrade in EMUI’s history.

As of now, it’s been two months since the debut of EMUI 11, and all 37 models planned to be upgraded have completed internal testing, which basically covers Huawei’s mainstream phones and tablets in the past two years. The update of the Beta version has been released for 20 models for now.

According to the latest simulated burn-in test by Connect, an authoritative German evaluation agency, Mate 20 Pro will lose 5% of its performance after 18 months of use, and Mate 40 Pro will only lose 2.5% of its performance after 36 months of use. This is much better than all the other smartphone brands including Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc.
