We have to admit that the use of alphabet ‘X’ makes the flagship sound a lot cooler, such as iPhone X. So after Apple, the famous leaker ‘Even Blass’ says that Huawei might name the upcoming Mate flagship as ‘Huawei Mate X‘ instead of Huawei Mate 10.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Mate 10 ==> Mate X

Pros of Naming Mate 10 as Huawei Mate X
Well, technically the Roman letter ‘X’ still presents the number 10. So this month, Huawei has a pretty good reason to use the name ‘Huawei Mate X’ instead of Mate 10 as both have the same pronunciation. Moreover, Huawei might steal some attention from iPhone X, as both phones will have the ‘X’ in common. So let’s summarize these pros:
- Looks cooler
- Sounds cooler
- Both Mate 10 and Mate X has the same pronunciation
- Might steal attention from iPhone X
At present, it is certain that the Huawei Mate 10 (or Mate X) will be equipped with a 6-inch, 18: 9, full-screen (EntireView Display). The heart of the flagship will be Kirin 970, the first SoC to come with artificial intelligence. On the rear, we will be having dual cameras by Leica. However, the rest of the configuration has not released yet.
