Today, Honor finally launches the 9X series with two flagships: Honor 9X and 9X Pro.
At the start of the conference, President Zhao Ming clearly defined the four major series of Honor phones: Magic Series (Future Technology), V Series (Pioneer Technology), N Series (Trend Technology) and X Series (Super Technology).

Design & Display
In appearance, Honor 9X adopts X design which represents technology and futuristic. The unique X-shaped rhythm diamond texture on the back and 21 glass crafts create a diamond version of light and shadow to form a unique appearance logo. In terms of color options, it offers four colors: Charm Blue, Flame Red, Phantom Violet, and Magic Night Black.
The Honor 9X series features a full-scale lift screen with no notch, no forehead. 6.59-inch screen size and a 5.5-inch smartphone feel to it. It supports TUV Rheinland’s low-blue eye protection and supports sunlight and ebook mode. The front lifting lens supports a series of protection functions such as intelligent drop protection, dustproof and waterproof, anti-magnetic interference, and bending resistance.
The phone still uses side fingerprint unlocking (integrated design of power button and fingerprint button). At the same time, it also supports one-button wake-up voice assistant (long-press the power button to wake up for 1 second). Zhao Ming said that in the actual unlocking experience, the Honor 9X side fingerprint module can easily beat any on-screen fingerprint smartphone.
Besides, the Honor 9X series retains the traditional 3.5mm audio interface while using the Type C interface.
Hardware & Performance
Moving to the hardware, the Honor 9X series is equipped with 7nm Kirin 810 processor, coupled with the highest optional 8GB LPDDR4x + 256GB UFS 2.1 memory combination. Similar to P30 and P30 Pro, it features Huawei’s self-developed Ark compiler and EROFS super file system. In terms of gaming performance, the Honor 9X is also equipped with Kirin Gaming+, which can speed up the data transmission speed, and the GPU Turbo has been upgraded to version 3.0. THE NINE liquid cooling, and the mainstream first-line mobile game is close to full-frame.

Camera – The Main Difference Between Honor 9X vs Honor 9X Pro
If you are wondering what’s the difference between Honor 9X and 9X Pro, well, let’s move to the camera section which highlights the difference. The standard Honor 9X uses the dual camera configuration of 48MP primary + 2MP in-depth sensor. Meanwhile, the ‘PRO’ version uses the triple camera configuration of 48MP primary + 8MP super wide-angle + 2 MP in-depth sensor.
Both phones support 48MP ultra-clear pixel hardware. It is worth mentioning that the Honor 9X series also uses the owl night shooting algorithm, supports ISO up to 102400, known as “canopy night vision”, supports AIS handheld super night view 2.0, can automatically recognize the tripod mode and support up to 30 seconds exposure.
In terms of the selfie, the Honor 9X series uses 16MP front-mounted lifting camera and support AI beauty and portrait mode.
