iQOO Pro Announced – First 5G Gaming Phone Coming This August

Today afternoon, iQOO unveiled its first 5G flagship: iQOO Pro. The phone will be officially released in August, and the specific date has not been announced yet. Moreover, it will be the first 5G Gaming phone as well as the first Snapdragon 855 Plus 5G phone.

According to official information, iQOO Pro is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and supports 5G networking (black shark gaming phone 2 Pro, ROG gaming phone 2 does not support 5G network).

Compared with the Snapdragon 855, the Snapdragon 855 Plus has mainly made two upgrades:

• First, the Kryo 485 CPU is clocked up to 2.96GHz, SD 855 had 2.84GHz
• Second, the Adreno 640 GPU gets a 15% performance boost

According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855 Plus integrates the Snapdragon X24 LTE 4G modem and implements a 5G mobile phone solution via a plug-in Snapdragon X50 modem.

In addition to the Snapdragon 855 Plus, iQOO Pro has triple cameras at the rear and supports screen fingerprint recognition. There is also a “5G” logo next to the iQOO Logo on the back.

It is reported that iQOO Pro supports dual SIM and supports 5G+4G standby at the same time, which is worth looking forward.
