There’s no suspense that the upcoming Huawei flagship Mate 10 will feature Kirin 970. But, the problem is that Kirin 970 parameters aren’t revealed to the world. The only thing we know is that this SoC will be the first chip to use Artificial Intelligence.
However, a few days back, Kirin 970 parameters were leaked on Weibo by Zhiyou Jun. Although it’s not official, still the parameters are worthy of the notice. It’s a so-called Kirin 970p parameter configuration map on Weibo. Moreover, the specs match the previous leaks as well. These include the TSMC’s 10nm process technology and the 64-bit octa-core CPU.
Kirin 970 Parameters
Specifically, the Kirin 970 features:
- Four Cortex-A73 core (clocked at 2.8GHz)
- 4 Cortex-A53 core (clock frequency unknown)
- GPU Mali-G72 MP8?
- 1866mHz LPDDR4 memory support
- Bluetooth 4.2 support
- LTE Cat.12 (Dual SIM LTE)
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac Dual Band
- Camera support up to 42 MP (dual ISP)
Of course, these parameters are not real. Some of them were questioned by the audience such as the support of LPDDR4 instead of LPDDR4X and support of Bluetooth 4.2 instead of Bluetooth 5.
The single core performance is going to marvelous because of those A73 cores reaching the maximum frequency. We hope the official parameters are a bit changed from this one with LPDDR4X.
