Apart from the Chinese manufacturers releasing WiFi 6 routers such as Xiaomi AIoT router AX3600, Huawei router AX3 Pro, and Redmi router AX5, with their Chinese firmware, today, we see an international brand ‘Linksys’ releasing its first WiFi 6 router. Meet Linksys WiFi 6 Router MR7350 AX1300, an entry-level AX1800 router priced at $149.99 which will start selling at the end of June. The good thing? This one has global firmware support.
Let’s get into details and know everything about the router:
The router has a traditional rectangular box-like appearance. However, it’s angular from the sides. The approach here is to be minimalistic, which can be seen easily by looking at the main chassis and the plain dual antennas. Apart from this, for incredible heat dissipation, there’s ventilation all over the body especially the top and bottom.
The MR7350 router uses 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band, supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocol, 5GHz max speed of 1.2Gbps, dual-band concurrent maximum speed of 1.8Gbps.
It supports 1024QAM modulation, OFMDA, WPA3 encryption, etc., claiming that a single device can cover an area of 1700 square feet (157.9 square meters) without dead corners, and can simultaneously connect more than 20 devices, with mesh networking, the experience is more seamless.
