Recently, MIUI 12.5 enhanced edition just got released. This edition is the response of Xiaomi and the MIUI developers after listening to countless complaints about the MIUI 12.5 update resulting in many bugs and high battery usage in devices. Even at today’s conference, the head of MIUI also apologizes for it.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition – Everything We Need To Know

The Changelog


  1. Liquid storage: efficiency of defragmentation is increased by 60%.
  2. Atomic memory: ultra-fine memory management, split application memory, give priority to the end of unimportant tasks, and refine and compress memory usage.
  3. Focus calculation: 51 core operations are smoothly and comprehensively accelerated, and the most frequently used processes perceived by the current user are first calculated according to the process, and unimportant applications in the background are suppressed.
  4. Intelligent balance: According to the operations, allows the top hardware run in a balanced comfort zone most of the time. 
  5. Swift performance: Adding more life between charges for a longer battery life over the time.

Lab tests result based on MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition:

  • The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro lab test shows that the reading and writing loss is less than 5% after 36 months of use, and the phone is as smooth as ever. (liquid storage)
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra’s back-end residency capacity has increased by 64%. (atmoic memory)
  • According to the actual measurement of multiple models, the CPU usage rate has dropped by an average of 15%, and the power consumption has been saved by an average of 8%. (focus calculation)

The update will begin from August 13 and onwards.

We will update the list as soon as new devices are added to the list as well as the current one gets the update. So stay tuned.

Update No.1 (8/16/2021)

Xiaomi will complete the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update on August 27 for the first batch.

Update No.2 (8/18/2021)
