Today, a famous leakster on Weibo just announced that Vivo is releasing new phones every now and then, and this time it will be the Vivo Y78 and Vivo V78M. The new phones in the Vivo Y series have the model name V2278A. They will come equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, 12GB RAM, 6.64 inches LCD, and much more.

Specficiations of the Vivo Y78

The MediaTek Dimeinsity 7020 mobile chipset powers the Vivo Y78. It is the same processor as Dimesnity 930, just renamed to 7020. The device comes with 12GB RAM, which makes the smartphone quite smooth. Geekbench 6 scores 852 points on the single cores and 2099 points on the multi-core.


The Vivo Y78 will have a vibrant 6.64 inches LCD screen with a 2388×1080 resolution. It will provide a nice media consumption experience to the users. The front side of the phone nests an 8MP camera, whereas on the back, it has a dual camera setup. The primary lens is 50MP, and a 2MP camera to make the photos & videos look better.

All the specs are powered by a 5000mAh battery that can be easily charged with 44W fast charging. The device has a thickness of 7.98mm and weighs around 190g.
