HydrogenOS 5.1.6 – What’s New?

HydrogenOS 5.1.6 is a major update for OnePlus 6 sized 212MB. It brings some major additions and fixes to the system such as:

  1. The battery percentage icon is now showing in the status bar
  2. Self-timed Bokeh (Selfie Portrait Mode) added to the front camera
  3. Game Optimization
  4. New Dual-SIM 4G network switches are added to increase the volume of ringing tones
  5. Automatically answer the calls when the Bluetooth headset is connected
  6. Sets the automatic switching settings of the hand-off mode

Indeed, the most exciting feature added is the selfie Bokeh effect also known as Selfie Portrait Mode. Similar to the rear camera, the front camera can now add the blurring effect in the background and sharpens the portrait.

Hopefully, the OnePlus 6 HydrogenOS 5.1.6 update will reduce the number of complaints regarding the flagship software. There are some minors fixes left which will be fixed in the next update.
