Oppo A1 | First Plain Leather Back In the Series

Oppo has stepped back into the world of smartphones by releasing their new phone called Oppo A1. The phone is currently on sale at a price of 1999 yuan ($290) for the 12+256GB variant. Oppo A1 has a Snapdragon 695 5G mobile chipset, LPDDR4X flash memory, and a large screen of 6.72 inches. It is the first phone with a plain leather back in the Oppo A series.

Display & Appearance

The Oppo A1 comes with a 6.72-inch screen with a resolution of 2400×1080. It is an LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has a 240Hz touch sampling to make the phone smoother. The default brightness is 550 nit, and the global excitation of 680 nits. It makes the phone bright enough to be used in bright outdoors.

The phone is the first to get a plain leather version in the A1 series. It has a thickness of just 8.25mm and weighs around 193g. In contrast, the plastic version is 8.2mm and weighs only 191g. The fingerprint sensor is on the side, and the legendary headphone jack and infrared remote control feature are as well. It runs on ColorOS. It comes in three colors.

Processor & Storage

Oppo has used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset that will provide decent performance while keeping the phone budget-friendly.  Moreover, the phone has LPDDR4x memory and UFS 2.2 flash memory to enhance the user experience further. 

The phone’s RAM is up to 12 GB, while the storage options may vary up to 256 GB.

Camera

The front camera of the Oppo A1 is 8MP, sufficient to provide good selfies and videos. On the back, it has a dual camera configuration of 50MP and 2MP.

Battery

The Oppo A1 is powered by a 5000mAh battery that can be charged with 67W of fast charging. The phone only takes 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 76%. Oppo has left no boxes unchecked regarding the battery experience of the phone.

Price & Availability

The Oppo A1 has been released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. Currently, it is available for a sale price that will be changed to its original price.
