OPPO Reno 12 is released with Mediatek Dimensity 8250 Chip

OPPO Reno 12 is the baseline model in the series but with decent specifications and an affordable price tag. The phone is the first to use Dimensity 8250 Star Edition chip, up to 16GB RAM, a maximum of 512GB storage, a vibrant 6.7-inch OLED straight screen, a 50MP front camera, triple cameras on the back, a 5000mAh battery which supports 80W fast charging and much more.

The OPPO Reno 12 gets its processing power from the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Edition chipset. It has LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory for faster data transfer rates. 

The phone has RAM options of 12GB and 16 GB. It has device memory storage options of 256GB and 512 GB.

Design & Appearance of the Oppo Reno 12

The Oppo Reno 12 comes with a colorful 6.7-inch OLED four-curved soft-edge straight screen with a resolution of 2412 x 1080. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate (60/90/120Hz three gears) and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for a smoother user experience. The Pro XDR display has an excitation brightness of 1200nits, supports 1.07 billion colours and is protected by Corning Victus 2 protective glass. 

It has a thickness of 7.3mm (Ebony Black is 7.25mm) and weighs 179g. The phone supports an infrared remote control, NFC, IP65 dust and water resistance rating, is equipped with ColorsOS 14.1 system and is the first phone with a network-free communication function (short range only). It comes in various colour options for users to choose from

Camera

The front camera of the Oppo Reno 12 is 50MP (Samsung S5KJN5) with 1/2.75 inch sensor size. It has triple cameras on the back for optimal photos and videos. The primary lens is 50MP (Sony LYT-600) with OIS and 1/1.95 inch sensor size. It has other lenses of 8MP ultra-wide (Sony IMX355) with 1/4 inch sensor size and 50MP telephoto lens (Samsung S5KJN5) with 2x optical zoom and 1/2.75 inch sensor size.

Battery

The battery capacity of the Oppo Reno 12 is 5000mAh battery which supports 80W fast charging. It can charge the phone to 55% in just 20 minutes and only takes 43 minutes to fully charge the device.

Price & Availability

The Oppo Reno 12 has been officially released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. It has various variants for users to choose from
