Today, Xiaomi has released the cheapest phone of Redmi 9A with the 4GB+64GB version priced at only 599 yuan (86 USD / 6399 INR). Here are the Redmi 9A specs and features:
LED flash, HDR, panorama
Video recording: 1080p@30/60fps
In terms of configuration, Redmi 9A uses a 6.53-inch full-screen display with a water droplet notch, a 20:9 ratio, and a resolution of 1600×720 (HD+). It has passed the TÜV Rheinland low-blue light eye protection certification, supports the sunlight mode, and supports face unlocking.
Redmi 9A SoC is the MTK Helio G25 processor, and the Antutu score exceeds 100,000. It’s one of the best performance one can get in the entry-level market. You can read our comparison of Heio G25 with other SoCs here:
In terms of photography, Redmi 9A has a rear 13MP AI dual camera. Meanwhile, on the front is the 5MP selfie camera which has beauty mode. One of the greatest highlights of the Redmi 9A is the 5000mAh capacity battery with a standard 5V/2A charger. The battery timing is expected to last up to 2 days on a single charge. Interestingly, it runs on the latest MIUI 12 (Android 10) and has a desktop mode as well.
Interestingly, Redmi 9A adapts to the Big Mac font, which is even larger than the super large font in most Android smartphones. Tapping three times on the screen, zooms that section of the screen. Combined with the enormous 6.53-inch screen, you can see even the smallest text. Indeed, it’s a blessing for the elderly person with long-sightedness.
Redmi 9A uses the 1217 loudspeaker which allows you to hear clearly in a noisy environment. Here’s a trick: At 100% call volume, double press volume up button twice, the earpiece volume will increase by 20%.
Though this is also present in previous Xiaomi phones, however, it’s greatly improved in Redmi 9A. For the people who don’t want the headache of using the default Android and MIUI layout and desire for a simple design. These include:
Just tap on specific content on the screen and the content will be read aloud.
After switching to the minimalist mode, you can add the contact directly to the transparent screen, and click on the contact’s avatar to dial directly.
After turning on this feature from the settings, you can view the usage information of the user, such as real-time view location, control of phone applications, etc.
Apart from these, there are many other features in Redmi 9A as well.
