Redmi K60E Debuts | Best Budget Smartphone from the Series

The budget smartphone of the much-awaited K60 has been officially released. The Redmi K60E is all set to hit the shelves very soon. It will come equipped with the only Dimensity 8200, it is the only device in the series to have the Mediatek processor. It will come in four different variants of 8GB, and 12GB RAM coupled with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The event was jampacked with technological releases and this is just the start.

Design & Appearance

The Redmi K60E has a plastic frame with a Gorilla glass Victus layer on the front. It is 8.84mm thick and weighs 202g. On the front, we have the punch hole cutout which hosts the selfie camera. The screen-to-body ratio of this device is ~ 85.1%. The fingerprint sensor is on the right side.

The real difference between the K60 series can be seen on the back of the device. The Redmi K60E has a rectangular camera module. Its main sensor is visibly larger than the two supporting lenses. The USB type c charging port is placed on the lower side of the device.

Screen & Display

The Redmi K60E has a 6.67inch OLED (Samsung E4) panel. With a resolution up to 3200×1440. It has a pixel density of 526ppi. On top of that, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The 8-bit color depth brings the colors to life. It has a local peak brightness of 1200nits, meaning it will perform well in bright situations. Whereas, the typical brightness is 500nits.


Furthermore, for your eye protection, it has both front and rear dual light perception. And supports DC dimming as well as passed the SGS low light eye protection certification. It comes with MIUI 14 skin, based on Android 13.

Hardware & Performance

Out of three devices in the K60 series, only the K60E comes with a Mediatek processor. The Dimensity 8200 mobile platform is set to provide great results while keeping the cost of the phone less.

As for the RAM, users can choose between 8GB and 12 GB. It uses LPDDR5 memory, so no lacking performance. To further boost the experience, it has UFS3.1 flash memory.

To keep the phone from heating due to all the performance gain, it comes with a 3750mm² VC vapor chamber to cool things off.


The front cutout in the screen nests the 20MP (Sony IMX596) which can produce some great selfies. It can shoot 1080p video at 30fps.

On the back side, it has a rectangular module that hosts three different cameras. The main 48MP camera (Sony IMX582) has OIS. The super wide-angle is 8MP (Samsung S5K4H7) and 2MP macro (Geco Micro GC02M1). It can shoot 4K video at 30fps. Also, it shoots in 1080P with either 30fps or 60fps.

Moreover, the phone has 7 different film effects for users to have fun with.

Connectivity & Network

The Redmi K60E has the latest and greatest 5G options. It has dual SIM slots. There is no space for external memory storage.

Furthermore, it has WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS. And the device is NFC-enabled for better connectivity.


Just like most of the other components, the Redmi K60E has the smallest battery in the K60 series. It has a battery capacity of 5,500mAh. To charge it up, it has 67W fast charging.

Currently, the device has been released all over China. Whereas, the global release is on the way. It has debuted in four variants as;
