Redmi Note 9 Specs Revealed As It Gets Approved By MIIT!

Today, on April 17th, a new Redmi model M2003J15SC was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology which is rumored to be Redmi Note 9 considering the specs revealed.

As shown in the figure, this Redmi Note 9 has a punch-hole screen design, with quad rear cameras resembling Redmi Note 9 Pro.

However, this phone is not the Redmi Note 9 Pro listed in India. It is because the screen size of the two smartphones and the front camera position are not the same.

It may be Redmi 9 targeting the entry market or Redmi Note 9.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website shows the specs of the Redmi Note 9 phone which uses a 6.53-inch punch-hole screen with a resolution of 2340 × 1080. Most importantly, it is equipped with MediaTek G80 SoC, with a maximum of 6GB memory + 128GB storage, a front 13 MP camera, and a rear 48MP AI quad-camera. The battery capacity is 4920mAh and supports a 22.5W fast charge.

It is worth noting that recently ‘Lu Weibing’, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of Redmi brand, hinted that Redmi would use MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor. This SoC is MediaTek’s 5G SOC and should be used in the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 9 series.
