After 8 years of its launch, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note series of phones had shipped more than 300 million units worldwide.

Last year, Xiaomi sold over 240 million Redmi Note smartphones worldwide, which means that in just one year, another 60 million units of the popular model have been sold.

The day before, Xiaomi also disclosed that the Redmi Note series of phones had shipped 72 million units in India since the launch of the Redmi Note 4G smartphone in 2014.

It is reported that in July 2013, Xiaomi announced the official launch of the cheap smartphone brand – Redmi, which became a separate sub-brand in 2019.

At present, Redmi has formed a digital series, K series, Note series, and other sub-product lines, focusing on cost performance.
