Samsung also unpacked its Tab series; one of the devices was released as Samsung Galaxy Tab S9. It is a budget device that comes with an 11-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen2, RAM options up to 12GB, 256GB storage with an option for expandable memory, an 8400mAh battery, and much more.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 comes with an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a screen resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and supports HDR10+. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the screen for added durability. 

The device has a thickness of 5.9mm and weighs around 498g. It has an aluminum frame and back and IP68 dust/water resistance. The device also supports Stylus with 2.8ms latency through Bluetooth latency. It runs on One UI 5.1 (based on Android 13). The device is released in two colors.

At the heart of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4nm) octa-core processor. It has Adreno 740 GPU. The RAM options for the device are 8GB and 12 GB. As for memory storage, it comes with options of 128GB and 256GB. It also has a dedicated slot for microSDXC. 

Camera

The front camera of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is 12MP, with f/2.4 and a 120-degree field of view. It supports 4K video shooting at 30 / 60 fps and 1080p@30fps. On the rear side, it has a single camera of 13MP (f./2.0 and 26mm focal length). It shoots 4K video at 30 / 60 fps and 1080p @ 30fps.

Price & Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 has been officially announced and is available for pre-orders. Its shipping will start in August and comes in two variants.

• The price for 12+256GB is 7399 yuan ($1036)
