Samsung Unpacked event announced some new devices; the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has officially been announced. The flippable phone has a very new attractive design with some very decent specifications. It will come with an internal screen of 6.7 inches, a cover display of 3.4 inches, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 8GB RAM, device storage up to 512GB, and much more.

Display & Appearance

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with a foldable internal screen of 6,7 inches Dynamic AMOLED 2X that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2640, supports HDR10+, and has 1200nits peak brightness.

The cover screen is 3.4 inches Super AMOLED with a resolution of 720 x 748; it has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to make the device durable. The device has an aluminum frame and Glass Victus 2 on the back glass as well. 

It has unfolded thickness of 6.9mm, folded thickness of 15.1mm, and weighs around 187g. The device has IPX8 water resistance, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC for connectivity. It comes in various colorful options for a better user experience.

Processor & Storage of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 

At the heart of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4nm) mobile processor. It has octa-cores (1 x 3.2Ghz Cortex X3 core, 2 x 2.8Ghz Cortex A715 cores, 2 x 2.8Ghz Cortex A710 cores and 3 x 2.0Ghz Cortex A510 cores). The device has Adreno 740 GPU; combined altogether, the device will provide decent performance. 

It only has 8GB RAM, which might disappoint some users. As for device memory options, it will come in 256GB and 512GB storage options. 

Camera

The front camera of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is 10MP(f/2.2 and 26mm focal length). It has a dual camera setup on the back. The primary lens is 12MP (Dual Pixel PDAF, f/1.8 and 24mm focal length), and a 12MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 and a 123-degree field of view.

Both cameras support 4K video shooting at 30fps. The back camera supports 4K@60fps, 1080P @ 60/240fps, 720p @ 960 fps and supports HDR10+.

Battery

The battery size of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is 3700mAh, which supports 25W fast charging. It can charge the device to 50% in just 30 minutes. The device also supports 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. 

Pricing & Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has been announced, and the phone will start delivering on August 11. It is now available on pre-order for users to book the device.
