Snapdragon 765G vs Dimensity 1000L – CPU Comparison

Starting this competition, we will talk a little about their CPUs. The Snapdragon 765G uses a Kryo 475 CPU based on a seemingly odd tri-cluster design (1+1+6) which is new in this 7 series. It hasn’t moved to Cortex A77 but consists of the one high-performance processor which is the new Kryo Prime Cortex A76 running at a speed of 2.4GHz, another Cortex A76 but based on Kryo Gold running at a speed of 2.2GHz and six energy-efficient Cortex A55 cores running at a speed of 1.8GHz. The standard version which is SD 765 has the same configuration but the Kryo Prime frequency is 2.3GHz.

That being said, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L is built on the 7nm LPP process, which is pretty decent, and even more knowing that it has 64bit memory architecture and have octa-core design, which is divided into two: the first part has four ARM Cortex A77 based cores at a speed of 2.2GHz for heavy tasks, and the second part has another four cores with ARM Cortex A55 technology at a speed of 2.0GHz for handling regular tasks.

Winner: Snapdragon 765G

Snapdragon 765G vs Dimensity 1000L – GPU Comparison

Having talked about the above topic, we will go on to comment a bit about their GPUs. The Snapdragon 765G has upgraded its GPU from Adreno 618 to 620. Moreover, it’s overclocked as well compared to the standard Snapdragon 765 (18% better graphics). The 765G’s Adreno 620 GPU has 38% better performance than the Adreno 618 that can be seen in the 730 version of this processor. And don’t forget about the gaming optimizations done for this SoC. This is much better than the CPU improvement we just talked about in the above section.

On the other hand, the Dimensity 1000L has the ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which is a nine-core GPU and comes under the ARM’s new G77 series of GPU. This new series that Mali-G77 has seems to be a bit more powerful than the series we have seen being launched in the past, and due to the use of this GU, the Dimensity 1000L has dominated the GPU section.

Snapdragon 765G vs Dimensity 1000L – AnTuTu Comparison

Well, although much can be said about the power with which a processor has, we will never really know the way and efficiency with which it works until we know what score it obtained in AnTuTu, and that is why we will bring you the scores here of these two processors. The Snapdragon 765G has got 320822 points, while the Dimensity 1000L got 337669 points.

Winner: Dimensity 1000L

Snapdragon 765G vs Dimensity 1000L – Camera/ISP Comparison

Talking about the ISP, in the Snapdragon 765G we come across photographic support for sensors up to 192 megapixels without zero shutter lag, or the 36 megapixel with this feature or dual devices with 22 megapixels per sensor. The video is maintained in 4K HDR and can reach 480fps in HD or 720p quality.

With that said, the processor launched by MediaTek has the world’s first 5-core ISP that came along with a “3 big + 2 small” design. This ISP makes the Dimensity 1000L compatible with the dual camera configuration or the 80 megapixel single camera configuration, being the result of the combination of two 32 megapixel and 16 megapixel sensors, respectively. This ISP also has capabilities such as 4K HDR video capture, Bokeh videos and many more things, but HDR10 + encoding and decoding is not mentioned.

Snapdragon 765G vs Dimensity 1000L – Connectivity Comparison

Now, talking about connectivity, the Snapdragon 765G supports 5G networking and is the first upper-mid SoC to provide this networking. This processor integrates the X52 modem (internal) wich gives 5G download up to 3.7 Gbit/s and upload up to 1.6 Gbit/s. Moreover, it also supports Global 5G networking consisting of sub-6 GHz in Europe and Asia and mmWave 5G in the US.

That being said, the great and powerful MediaTek processor is capable of reaching a download speed of up to 4.7Gbps, as well as 2.3Gbps in download speed. It has 5G technology, but is also compatible with the famous 4G connectivity, but the company has not been very specific in terms of speeds. It is also compatible with Dual 5G SIM cards.
