The Samsung HPX sensor is 1/1.4 inches in size, which is larger than the Sony IMX766. This size allows for a larger unit pixel area of 0.56 μm and it supports the super QPD autofocus solution. This means that all pixels of the sensor support autofocus, and support 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixels. This is equivalent to 50MP 1.12μm and 12.5MP 2.24μm, making it possible to capture incredibly detailed and high-resolution images.

The Samsung HPX sensor also supports intelligent ISO Pro technology and a triple ISO mode (low, medium, and high mode). This allows the sensor to present images with more than 4 trillion colors (14-bit color depth) and supports single-frame progressive HDR (StaggeredHDR). This means that even in low-light conditions, the sensor can produce images with a high level of detail and color accuracy. Additionally, it supports 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video shooting, making it perfect for capturing high-quality video footage.

In addition to the main camera, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ also has 5 film cameras: KC64, V-250, H-400, KP160, and FC400. These cameras focus on film effects, with adjustments in color, grain, and vignetting. The original RGB value of each pixel of the shooting screen is used for color adjustment, calculation, and real-time generation of grain and vignetting effects, to truly restore the film texture. This allows users to capture images with a distinct and nostalgic film-like aesthetic, which is perfect for those who want to add a creative touch to their photos.

Lu Weibing has previously stated that the Redmi Note 12 series will change the current status quo of the industry, which has no image quality like this for 1,000 yuan. He believes that this series will set a new standard for imaging capabilities in the smartphone industry, making it possible for users to capture high-quality images at an affordable price point. With its advanced imaging capabilities and film-like effects, the Redmi Note 12 Pro series is sure to be a hit among young people who love to take pictures.
