Xiaomi Already Working on Mi Band 5 Says CEO Huang Wang

Although the fourth generation of Mi Band was released in less than two months, we already have news regarding Xiaomi Mi Band 5.

At the Huami Financial Reporting Conference, CEO Huang Wang confirmed that he is working with Xiaomi to develop the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. He said:

We are actually developing Mi Band 5 with Xiaomi

Regarding the specific release time, Huang Wang said that it has not yet been decided yet. He pointed out that since it is already under development, and Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has just been launched, you can expect the fifth generation to debut next year.

This year’s Mi Band 4 is the first to adopt OLED color screen, upgrade to support Bluetooth 5.0 standard, and improved functionality. However, the upcoming Mi Band 5 will continue to improve in terms of GPS, charging, waterproof performance, and battery life.

In addition, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 global shipment exceeded 1 million, with an average of five thousand shipments per hour, which is the fastest shipment speed of Xiaomi Mi Band series.
