Xiaomi CC9 is Official – Here’s Everything You Need To Know!

Yesterday, Xiaomi released the first smartphone of the ‘CC’ series designed for the young generation with the camera and appearance as the highlights. It’s Xiaomi’s first cooperation with Meitu. The new Xiaomi CC9 is official, starting at a price tag of 1799 yuan (261 USD).

Xiaomi CC9 – Another Mi 9 but Much Beautiful?

To meet the likes of young people, Xiaomi CC9 comes in three new multi-gradient color trends. First is the “White lover” which looks like when the sun shines on the snow. Second is the “Blue Planet” which has colorful CC appearing like a rainbow pattern in the blue. Third and the last is “Dark Prince” which is a silver-gray glossy flow.

The chassis of the CC9 is 3D full curved glass along with the full metal frame. The flagship weighs only 179 grams and also provides colorful breathing lights.

Xiaomi CC9 adopts the full-screen water-drop layout. It uses the 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED screen similar to Xiaomi Mi 9, with 91% screen ratio, VDE low-light eye protection, hardware DC dimming, and seventh-generation light-sensitive in-screen fingerprint recognition. The unlocking speed is increased by 10%. 

Now coming to the selling point, the CC9 comes with the same primary camera sensor as of Mi 9. It’s a triple camera configuration. The primary sensor is  Sony’s 48 MP coupled with 8 MP super wide-angle lens and 2 MP in-depth lens. It supports support beauty mode, super night scene, 960 frames super slow motion, 3D micro face beauty, dynamic light spot, studio light effect, AI short video, and other functions.

The front shooter is 32MP and supports four-in-one 1.6 micron large pixels, beauty mode, panoramic selfie, gesture self-timer. It also introduces the cool Mimoji feature as well.

Finally, moving to the hardware, we have Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 AIE as the heart of flagship coupled with 6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. There’s the large built-in 4030mAh large battery, supporting QC4 fast charge, standard 18W charger, Type-C charging interface. The phone also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include NFC and Hi-Res audio.

Xiaomi CC9 comes in two variants:

• 6GB+64GB for 1799 yuan
• 6GB+128GB for 1999 yuan
