Xiaomi CC9e Debuts | vs CC9 | A Lite Version With Better Price

Along with the release of Xiaomi CC9 and CC9 Meitu Edition, Xiaomi CC9e also debut as the much cheaper and ‘lite’ version of the aforesaid. Like CC9 targets the upper-end category like Mi 9, similarly, the CC9e targets the mid-end range like Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. In Xiaomi CC9e vs Xiaomi CC9, even if the processor might be a mid-end Snapdragon 665 priced at 1299 yuan (189 USD), however, the front and rear camera configuration are the same as of Xiaomi CC9.

Compared with Xiaomi CC9, Xiaomi CC9e screen size has been reduced to 6.08-inch, which is more suitable for one-hand operation, while retaining most of the technical specifications of Xiaomi CC. This also includes the 4030mAh battery.

Snapdragon 665 vs SD 660 – Is It Really An Upgrade?

The processor has changed from SD 710 to SD 665, and it’s the first launch of an SD 665 smartphone. This processor is an upgraded version of the mainstream SD 660, which was launched last year. It is manufactured by Samsung 11nm LPP process.

The CPU part still has four upper core Kryo 260 (Cortex-A73) with 2.0GHz frequency and four lower core Kryo 260 (Cortex-A53) with 1.8GHz frequency. As noted the upper core frequency has been decreased from 2.2GHz to 2.0GHz (200MHz) which is quite strange as an upgrade.

The GPU graphics core has been upgraded from Adreno 512 to Adreno 610, which is obviously very variable, especially with support for Vulkan 1.1, which saves 20% of power consumption. There is also an upgraded Hexagon 686 DSP, Spectra 165 ISP, which supports up to 48 megapixels for a single camera and supports triple camera configuration as well.

In addition to the screen size and processor, Xiaomi CC9e also features NFC and colorful breathing lights, standard 10W charger, also supports 18W fast charge. It retains the CC series front 32 MP selfie camera as well as the rear 48 MP Sony triple-camera, and screen fingerprint recognition. Not bad for a price of 189 USD.
