Xiaomi Mi 100W Car Charger 1A1C Review – Design & Appearance

Now, to start this Xiaomi Mi 100W Car Charger 1A1C Review, we’ll talk about its design. This product adopts a metal elastic contact design, which is compatible with mainstream models on the market, is suitable for most different cigarette lighter and power ports in the car, and is equipped with positive and negative anti-slip shrapnel and manganese steel. The copper material is effective in anti-skid and abrasion resistance, and it will last longer. In addition, the main body adopts an anode-like PC-sprayed chassis, and the low light flow is that the body will reflect a series of highlights, which is full of texture.

In this car charger, a USB-C and a USB-A charging port can be seen, among which the USB-C charging port uses orange color, which looks more conspicuous. The main reason for that color is that this port supports 100W of output power, so it will be easy for users to distinguish.

Design & Appearance

Here are some images of the disassembled charger:

After the power is turned on, the indicator light will be white in the standby state, which is convenient for plugging in at night. When charging low-power devices such as the iPhone 11, it displays a green light; when charging a medium-power device such as Xiaomi 10, it displays a blue light; and when charging high-power phones like the Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, it displays a golden light.

On the other hand, this charger comes with a 1-meter USB-C to USB-C charging cable that has a built-in E-Marker chip, which can charge mobile phones, laptops, flashlights, and other USB-C interface devices. The most important thing about this is that it supports 5A high current, and in phones like the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, this charging cable could be used to reach 100W output power.

Our Verdict

Ending this Xiaomi Mi 100W Car Charger 1A1C review, this car charger delivers the best charging speed which, however, is limited to the Type-C port only. Moreover, we also see a few protocols such as QC 4.0/4.0+ missing. However, the super affordable under $25 price tag covers this up and Xiaomi even provides the Type-C to Type-C cable already in the box. Totally worth it!

Summary
Honestly, this car charger deserves way more appreciation especially with the price tag which is under $25. Though it does get a bit heated and doesn't support a few protocols, but for most smartphones and notebooks it gets the job done.
