Xiaomi Mi 5 Gets MIUI 9 China Developer Update, Downloadable Via OTA

Last week, MIUI developers said that they would provide MIUI 9 to Xiaomi Mi 5, next week. Finally, they kept their promise, as Xiaomi Mi 5 is receiving MIUI 9 China Developer update.

On yesterday evening, Mi 5 started receiving the MIUI 9 China Developer update via OTA (over the air). However, the official ROM download has not been provided yet in MIUI Forum.

On the other side, the second batch of MIUI 9 is also getting ready for the update. The update will be provided in mid-August. It includes 12 models, enlisted as Mi 5, Mi MIX, Mi Note2, Mi 5S, Mi 5S plus, Mi 5c, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Mi 4S, Mi 4c.

It should be noted that only four smartphones have undergone the update. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi 5 has only received the MIUI 9 China Developer update, not the stable one. That’s why it’s still present in the second batch.

Xiaomi UI has more than 280 million users are the globe. No doubt, the recent MIUI 9 will bring more attraction to Xiaomi smartphones and UI. After 442 days of hard working, MIUI 9 came into existence, and no doubt it’s the world fastest and simplest Android UI.
