Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Concept Design Video Released By Philippe Starck

Although SHARP is the creator of full-screen smartphones with SHARP AQUOS S1, Xiaomi is the one who made this design in trending with Mi MIX last year. The French designer Philippe Starck’s incredible design even it the TIME Magazine even though it was a concept phone. But it’s time to move on. Philippe Starck is working with Xiaomi to introduce the real full-screen smartphone ‘Xiaomi Mi MIX 2’ this year.

We have seen many leaks and heard countless rumors about Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. But let’s just forget all of them. Why? Because the official concept design of the second generation of MIX series has just been released.

Today, @Starck Official on Facebook released the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 concept design video. Looking at the video, Mi MIX 2 appears to be way better its older brother. The screen-to-body ratio has been improved; it’s certainly not 100% but around 95% to 98%. Plus, the flagship appears to a bit curved from the borders hinting the use of 2.5D glass. Moreover, the device is also thinner than Mi MIX.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 – The Specs

The Mi MIX 2 is expected to integrate a 6-inch JDI display. The heart of the flagship will be Snapdragon 835. The phone will come in two variants:

  • Standard Version (6GB RAM and 128GB Storage) for 3999 Yuan
  • Higher Version (8GB RAM and 256GB Storage) for 4999 Yuan

It will also feature a built-in 3400mAh battery and 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor rear camera.

It is worth mentioning that MIX 2 will be the first phone to use AAC technology rather than the piezoelectric ceramic technology. The main advantage of AAC is low power consumption, small space, better sound quality.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is expected to release on September 12. No doubt, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Concept Design makes the flagship worthy of the wait.
