Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2C – Same Appearance, Double the Performance

In comparison with Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2, the new 2C generation is almost the same. It has the same plastic chassis undergoing a matte process. We have the same non-slippery holding experience in Mi Power Band 2C as well as scratch resistant coating.

On the front, we have the two Standard USB ports and a Micro-USB port for topping up the battery and is bi-directional.

Obviously, the battery will be thick because of the increase in capacity. The previous generation was only 14.1mm thick, but this one is almost twice as thick which is 23.9mm. The battery occupies a space of 13.55 x 6.76 x 2.39 cm. Thankfully, due to the plastic texture, Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2C weighs only 328 gram which is 3x times the weight of an average smartphone. The core material is lithium polymer. The total battery capacity is a generous 20000mAh. The plate end conversion rate is significantly improved which is 93%, and the actual output capacity is 13000mAh. The same high safety standards have been implemented include temperature protection, short circuit protection, input overvoltage protection.

Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2C has a dual USB interface, supporting 5.1V / 2.4A, 9V / 2A, and 12V / 1.5A. The maximum power is 18W. But we must note that the 18 Watts power is shared between the two ports. When a single device is charging from one port, the Quick Charge is enabled. In the case of both ports in use, the power bank can’t quick charge. The Quick Charge 3.0 is only available on a single port at a time.
