Today, on April 20th, the Xiaomi Mijia 27W 3 Socket Power Strip Fast Charging Version launched on the Xiaomi’s crowdfunding website.
This new power strip from Mijia provides three USB jacks, supports QC3.0 fast charging. The USB-A single-port output power can reach 27W MAX. Meanwhile, the multi-port output power can reach 21W MAX. Thus, the strip can be used to charge phones and tablets.
The USB interface supports Xiaomi Mi 10 / 10 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 9, Huawei Mate 20 series, P20 series, and higher models, iPhone 8, iPhone X series and higher iPhone models and other fast charging devices as well. The built-in smart charging chip intelligently matches the output power according to different models, up to 27W.
Mijia 27W 3 Socket Power Strip Fast Charging Version also provides 3 new national standard sockets, supporting 10A overload protection. More specifically, they are Type A, Type C, and Type I. If the electrical load exceeds the standard, the power will be automatically cut off, effectively avoiding the dangers caused by overload short circuit and accidental fire. Press the switch to resume normal use.
The internal copper strip adopts a higher-security one-piece, non-breakpoint connection technology, and high-quality tin-phosphor bronze structural materials.
It is worth mentioning that each socket is equipped with an independent safety door, which activates self-locking protection when foreign objects are inserted to ensure the safety of electricity use.
For the Chinese, the power strip will start selling on April 22nd at 10:00 am (Beijing Time). As for the price, it will start with a crowdfunding price of 69 yuan (almost $10) and the future retail price will be 79 yuan ($11.35). As for global availability, it will be available on Chinese Global stores like Aliexpress, Gearbest, and Banggood, next month. The estimated global price will be around $15 to $19 USD.
