After the release of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in India, last month, Xiaomi is looking forward to releasing the Chinese version of it, named as ‘Xiaomi Redmi Note 5’ this March 16. As it’s a mid-end budget-friendly flagship, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 price will be the main concern for most Xiaomi fans. There were no price details leaked of the flagship till now. Yesterday, a picture hit Weibo revealing Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 price.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Price – 399 Yuan More than Redmi Note 4, Still Worth It?
As shown in the figure, the price of Redmi Note 5 leaked is 1,499 yuan (around $237/ INR 15377). We know that the price of the Redmi Note 5 PRO in India is Rs 13999 (approximately RMB 1400). That’s why the leaked price appears to be true as there’s a slight price difference.
|Model||Xiaomi Redmi Note 5||Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 PRO||Xiaomi Redmi Note 4|
|Price||1499 yuan (around $237/ INR 15377)||1400 yuan (INR 1499)||1199 yuan ($189 / INR 12299)|
It’s for the second time that the Indian Xiaomi phone version is cheaper than the homeland version. Well, maybe the addition of front camera AI beauty is what made the price a bit higher in China compared to India.
Considering the price-over-performance ratio, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 price is one of the best budget-friendly phones of all time. Though, it’s 399 yuan more than the previous generation still no smartphone manufacturer can give its customer a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 2160 × 1080, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 6GB of memory + 64GB storage, and a battery capacity of 4000mAh. All this with a front AI smart beauty camera as the selling point, MIUI 9 (Android 8.0) and a great metal built. Thus, with a price increase, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is still worthy of spending 1499 yuan.
Furthermore, the image also reveals that there will be a 6GB version of the flagship and no 4GB version.
