Today, ZTE announced ZTE AXON 20 5G release date via its Weibo account. The world’s first under-display camera phone will release on September 1. Moreover, the phones mass production and shippment will also start from September.

At that time, there were various rumors that Huawei might launch an under-display camera phone. However, neither Huawei nor Visionox responded positively.

Until August 12, ‘Ni Fei’, President of ZTE’s smartphones, announced that ZTE will launch the world’s first smartphone with an under-display camera.

According to ZTE’s official introduction, the camera area under the display of the AXON 20 5G mobile phone accounts for only 0.2% of the entire display. The display can be divided into 7 layers, and the film structure has been treated with anti-reflection treatment to maximize the transparency of the screen and suppress optical diffraction at the same time.
