A Printer if You are Concerned with the Size and DIY Kit Modular Design!
With the increase in demand for 3D printers, new manufacturers are showing up on the internet. ANYCUBIC is one of those brands. Even though it came in the market in 2018, yet the 3D printer manufacturer is something you might not want to miss. Recently, it has released a new DIY 3D printer known as ‘ANYCUBIC 3D Printer 4Max Pro’ as the upgraded and enhanced version of the 2018 ANYCUBIC 3D Printer 4Max model. The Pro version is completely redesigned to provide large plus size 3D prints and models inside an enclosed printing space.
Let’s get to know more about the ANYCUBIC 3D Printer 4Max Pro in this preview:
The new ANYCUBIC 3D Printer occupies a space of 454mm×466mm×410mm and weighs 18.5 kg even the fact that it’s an enclosed built chamber safer for kids and beginners to start printing.
The Pro version has a fancy redesign with a combination of black and sea green as well as another variant available in white and sea green combination.
This 3D Printer is fully pre–assembled. All you need to do before start printing is to attach the filament sensor and install a spool holder.
A standard ANYCUBIC 3D Printer 4Max had an LCD display and a control knob, however, the Pro version has a Touch screen with the power button below it.
Interestingly the ANYCUBIC features a plastic top cover with an opening. Now comes what the ANYCUBIC is known for is its printers featuring with ultra base heated bed. It features micro holes in the coating layer that improve adhesion and make it easier to remove prints from the platform.
Like other 4Max printers, this one also needs to be calibrated manually through four adjustment screws located under the built plate. You can use any slicer available to you including Cura, Smplify3D, and Repetier-Host. However, for a quick start, the manufacturer gives Cura software on the SD card.
Concerning the filaments, it supports a wide range from ABS to PLA, TPU to HIPS and Wood. The only disadvantage is that compared to the previous generation the built volume is slightly reduced on the Y-axis and Z-axis. However, to overcome this, the volume has been increased on the X-axis by 2.3 inches.
For a clear view, the print chamber is illuminated with the LED strip light placed inside the chamber right above the chamber door. Other convenient features include a run-out sensor, auto-power off, and power recovery.
The maximum built size one can obtain is 270mm×205mm×205mm. The print accuracy is around 0.1mm and thickness is also 0.1mm. Here are some of the samples:
In the package, you will find a user manual, a USB cable, an SD card, and a card reader, a toolkit, a spare hot end, and a limit switch, as well as gloves and PLA filament.
In short, don’t get the ‘Pro’ wrong, it’s especially for the educational market and serves entry-level users. The manufacturer has named it Pro because of some improvements over the previous model.
